Inspired by the themes of TOTEM by Cirque du Soleil, the TOTEM Turtle will deliver an engaging display of motion, light and music. The enchanting seven metre long creature will swim majestically above the crowds, coming to life with gracious and inquisitive movements driven by puppeteers.
TOTEM traces the evolution of mankind. The central design element of the show is the turtle which appears in the myths and legends of many ancient cultures; representing the earth, and carrying the entire weight of the world on its shell.
The TOTEM Turtle is a stunning, large-scale work of inflatable puppetry created in Melbourne by the combined talents of artist Joe Blanck, designer Felipe Reynolds and theatre-maker and director Ed Boyle .
